Good Times on the R.E735

In March, we explored the trails in Freiburg with Torben and Luca – in all weather conditions. From snow to rain to sunshine, we experienced it all. But even the changeable conditions didn't stop the two of them from exploiting the full potential of the E-Enduro R.E735 and showing how much fun this bike is to ride. The R.E735 is an agile, robust, and powerful enduro bike. With its mullet concept and progressive suspension, it is perfect for technically demanding trails. The flat steering angle ensures stability at high speeds. The 29“ front wheel offers safety, while the 27.5” rear wheel ensures agility. The IPU735 delivers strong power reserves and optimizes handling for an unparalleled trail experience.

The energy storage device has an effective capacity of 720 Wh. It is integrated into the down tube in a form-fitting manner. The slanted removal to the side ensures a high degree of frame rigidity. The cells are installed in a handmade carbon housing. At 3,500 g, the battery is extremely light and weighs significantly less than comparable batteries.

The frame of the R.E735 is made entirely of high-modulus carbon fiber. It is handmade and consists of over 1,000 individual pieces. The development of the special lay-up and final production takes place in close cooperation between ROTWILD Engineering and the manufacturer.

The small rear wheel reduces the installation space. This allows the R.E735 to work with a shorter chainstay. The seat stay closes the rear frame triangle. The linkage seamlessly transfers the forces to the shock absorber. The spring characteristic curve is progressive. The yoke is made of weight-optimized aluminum.

At the front, a Fox 36 suspension fork with 170 mm travel provides sufficient suspension travel to safely navigate thick roots, rough rocks, and blocked passages. The flat headtube angle of 64.5° provides safety at high speeds through traction and control.

The Shimano EP801 offers a maximum torque of up to 85 Nm. The drive has three assistance levels and two riding profiles. The Shimano E-Tube app allows you to customize up to 15 different riding settings to optimize your riding experience. The extension of the cadence range allows the motor to be sensitively adjusted to your individual power output.

The R.E735 is based on the mullet concept: a 29“ front wheel provides grip, stability, and safety, while the 27.5” rear wheel adds agility. This makes the bike a harmonious symbiosis of smooth running and maneuverability.
