Up to date: the R.E750 PRO in the test
Is the ROTWILD R.E750 still one of the best in its class? On high alpine trails, MountainBIKE magazine tested eight of the best E-MTBs of the 2022 model year and put their versatility under the microscope. The R.E750 PRO received the test rating "Very Good" in this comparative test.
Groundbreaking concept
The test crew attributes this success to the "groundbreaking concept" from the very beginning, because although the ROTWILD R.E750 was already introduced in 2019, the bike in its current configuration "still plays at the forefront of the E-MTB circus". As before, the R.E750 convinces with its high-quality designed full carbon frame construction, the drive integration with "quiet, dynamic and powerful motor", a "smart battery removal" and other details such as the integrated MonkeyLink light mount on the stem. The high-quality equipment with FOX suspension, DT Swiss wheels and Shimano shifting components rounds out the concept in the magazine's view. This also includes details such as the easy battery removal or the telescopic seatpost, which offers up to 260 mm stroke.
Enough reserves for the rough
Range-strong and driveable, the performance of the enduro bike is confirmed on the trail. MountainBIKE writes: "The mix of 29" wheel in front and 27.5 works extremely well and allows the relatively light E-MTB with 23.6 kilograms noticeably nippy around the corner". Thus, the touring-oriented enduro offers "enough reserves for rough stuff". The quiet and powerful engine is convincing uphill.
Conclusion: Fully up to date
"More is more" is the title of MountainBIKE's test report of current high-end bikes, in which it had loaded E-MTBs with plenty of suspension travel for demanding trails. In this comparison, the ROTWILD R.E750 PRO holds its own impressively. And so the testers draw the conclusion: "Visually and technologically, the R.E750 is still fully up to date. Compared to the 'young guns' in the test, the Geo is more classic, thus also pleasing the touring fan."
