Nationals Geißkopf
Rain and challenging terrain made the German Enduro Championships in the Bavarian Forest a real challenge. For the first time, the championship was held over two full days of racing with a total of eight stages and more than 30 minutes of racing time. After a difficult start, Helen showed a strong comeback, winning two stages on Sunday and deservedly securing the silver medal behind Raphaela Richter. Torben, who recently returned from a slipped disc, surprised everyone with an impressive performance and finished 4th in a strong field of men – a strong comeback and a positive sign for the World Championships in September.
Nach seinem Bandscheibenvorfall im Juni war Torben wieder bereit für die nationalen Meisterschaften am Geißkopf. Im Training wurden wir vom Regen verschont. Im Rennen wurde es sehr sehr nass.
Wurzeln, soweit das Auge reicht. Die Strecken am Geißkopf waren lang, physisch und technisch sehr anspruchsvoll.
Torben lieferte eine sehr starke Vorstellung ab und wurde am Ende ganz knapp vierter.
Am Ende wurde es die Silbermedaille für Helen. Für 2026 wird sie definitiv auf eine Revanche aus seien.

For the first time, the championship was held over two full days of racing with a total of eight stages and more than 30 minutes of racing time. After a difficult start, Helen showed a strong comeback, winning two stages on Sunday and deservedly securing the silver medal behind Raphaela Richter. Torben, who recently returned from a slipped disc, surprised everyone with an impressive performance and finished 4th in a strong field of men – a strong comeback and a positive sign for the World Championships in September.

Bellwald
This year's Enduro World Championships in Bellwald marked the end of the racing season for the ROTWILD Schwalbe Gravity Team and offered spectacular conditions, impressive panoramas, and intense days of racing. It was a very special weekend for the team – with the national jersey at the start and strong performances on the demanding alpine stages. The weather was changeable during training, but as soon as the sun broke through, the full mountain panorama came into view – for example, on the legendary “Lord of the Rims” stage in the Bellwald Bike Park. On Sunday, the prologue took place on the Glaciara Stage, where Helen unfortunately crashed and lost valuable time. Undeterred, she gave her all on race day, especially on Stage 11, “Blueberry Trail,” where she was fully focused. In the end, she achieved a strong 4th place. After a difficult season, Torben demonstrated his stamina and potential in the race, with two top-20 stages and a solid 30th place overall. Kelan started the race strongly with a top-20 and top-30 stage, but had to slow down after a serious crash on Stage 4, “Old School DH,” which unfortunately put a top result out of reach. Whether in the national jersey or the Maloja team jersey, the team showed passion, commitment, and team spirit at the highest level. The results and impressions from Bellwald whet the appetite for the coming season!
What a view! Am Sonntag wurde bereits ein Prolog auf der Glaciara Stage durchgeführt. Leider crashte Helen dort und verlor wertvolle Zeit.
Da staunt im Hintergrund selbst der spätere Weltmeister Richie Rude. Torben sucht während des Trainings am Samstag die schnellste Linie durch die Almwiesen.
Voller Fokus. Helen auf Stage 11, “Blueberry Trail”. Am Ende eines langen Renntages reichte es für Platz 4.
Bis zum Schluss. Nach einer sehr schwierigen Saison zeigte sich Torben nochmal selbst sein Potential. Zwei Top 20 Stages und Platz 30 am Ende können sich definitiv sehen lassen.
