That's a wrap - RSGT Season Recap Part II
#3 Leogang
After a successful weekend in Loudenvielle, Kelan spontaneously decided to compete in the EDR World Cup in Leogang – an unplanned but welcome race. Despite difficult conditions with cold weather and constant rain, he put in a strong performance: four top-20 stages and 11th place on stage 4 led to a solid 21st place overall. Torben and Kelan are now preparing for the next races in Val Di Fassa and the legendary Megaavalanche in Alpe d'Huez at a training camp in Morzine, while Helen is concentrating on her studies.
Die Stages in Leogang sind ein guter Mix zwischen offenen, alpinen Sektionen und eher waldigen und wurzeligen Strecken.
Im Training war das Wetter noch gut. Kühl aber immerhin von oben trocken wurden die 5 Stages in Angriff genommen.
Nass, Nässer, Leogang. Nach einem heftigen Wetterumschwung wurde das Rennen zur Rutschpartie. Der legendäre Bergstadltrail stellte die Fahrer vor große Herausforderungen.
All-In nach einem harten Renntag. Trotz der sehr schweren Bedingungen konnte Kelan sein bestes Saisonergebnis einfahren. Platz 21 wurde es am Ende.
#3 Leogang

Die Stages in Leogang sind ein guter Mix zwischen offenen, alpinen Sektionen und eher waldigen und wurzeligen Strecken.

#4 Canazei
The World Cup in Val di Fassa demanded everything from the riders with its altitude, heat, and challenging stages. For Torben, the weekend ended on the first day of training with a slipped disc, which meant he was unable to compete in the race and has now started rehabilitation at home. Kelan got off to a strong start with 20th place on the first stage, but crashed heavily on stage 3. Despite the pain, he fought his way through and finished in a respectable 35th place. Helen also got off to a strong start with 4th place on stage 1 and was able to improve on the second day. With a consistent and combative performance, she finally finished 6th overall. Next up for Helen and Kelan is the Megaavalanche in Alpe d'Huez.
High-Rise Man! Zwischen den Rennen in Leogang und Canazei hat Torben noch ein kurzes Testcamp in Morzine mit Kelan eingeschoben. Dort ist er dann auf die 2025 sehr beliebten High-Rise Lenker umgestiegen. Genau das richtige für seinen noch aus XC-Zeiten geschädigten Rücken.
Optisch ist das Rennen in Canazei jedes Jahr eines der Highlights. Hier nimmt Kelan die Tutti-Frutti Stage in Angriff. Wie der Rucksack verrät, es war ein langes Rennen.
Smiles for miles. Bei dem Wetter und Panorama kann man nur gut gelaunt sein.
Tutti Frutti Stage! Für Helen verlief das Wochenende wieder sehr gut! Mit mehreren guten Stage Ergebnissen konnte sie ihr R.EXC auf einem guten sechsten Platz abstellen.

Megavalanche
Kelan and Helen competed in the legendary Megavalanche in l'Alpe d'Huez—the famous mass start downhill race from the glacier at an altitude of 3,300 m. Both won their qualifying races, which was the perfect start to the weekend. Kelan competed in both the e-bike and bio-bike categories, while Helen only competed in the bio-bike race due to the schedule. On Saturday, Kelan secured the holeshot in the e-bike race, raced down the glacier at over 100 km/h and finished in a strong 3rd place after a tough race. Shortly afterwards, Helen started the women's race, dominated from the start and won by over three minutes – securing her ticket to the Megavalanche Reunion Island in December. On Sunday, Kelan still had the Bio-Bike final to contend with. Despite tired legs and strong competition – including world champion Alex Rudeau – he rode aggressively again, secured the holeshot and finished in a very good 8th place. An impressive weekend for both riders with top performances and strong results!

Helen fuhr in der Bio-Bike-Kategorie mit über drei Minuten Vorsprung als Erste ins Ziel und sicherte sich damit das Ticket zur Reunion Island Megavalanche im Dezember!
Megavalanche
Kelan and Helen competed in the legendary Megavalanche in l'Alpe d'Huez—the famous mass start downhill race from the glacier at an altitude of 3,300 m. Both won their qualifying races, which was the perfect start to the weekend. Kelan competed in both the e-bike and bio-bike categories, while Helen only competed in the bio-bike race due to the schedule. On Saturday, Kelan secured the holeshot in the e-bike race, raced down the glacier at over 100 km/h and finished in a strong 3rd place after a tough race. Shortly afterwards, Helen started the women's race, dominated from the start and won by over three minutes – securing her ticket to the Megavalanche Reunion Island in December.
