That's a wrap - RSGT Season Recap Part I
The EDR kick-off in Pietra Ligure brought a real old-school enduro feeling with seven stages and over 1,500 meters of elevation gain. After intense winter training, Helen had to take a break due to illness, while Torben and Kelan competed for the team. The race was mixed: technical problems, a crash, and a flat tire prevented top results, but the pace was good. With 49th (Torben) and 82nd (Kelan) places, the ROTWILD Schwalbe Gravity Team takes valuable experience and positive feedback on the converted R.EXC e-bikes into the season.
From the mountains to the sea. There's nothing better than starting the season on the Ligurian coast.
The weather was very changeable on both race days. We experienced everything from perfect sunshine to heavy rain. However, Kelan and Torben made the best of the situation. Here on the famous “Hellboy” trail.
E-bike or bio-bike? Thanks to a clever milled part, we were able to quickly convert our EXC e-bike. The empty battery now serves as a storage box. No bike attracted more attention than our R.EXC throughout the entire week. Whether with or without a motor.
Almost done. The last stage of the weekend ended just behind the village of Pietra Ligure. The mood was correspondingly good.

Nationals Willingen
What a weekend in Willingen! Helen fought her way to the top in a thrilling race and is now German E-Enduro Champion. Torben took the runner-up title as he did last year, and Kelan completed the podium in third place. Challenging trails, steep uphills, and power stages—the team gave it their all and showed what they are capable of. An unforgettable weekend full of adrenaline, team spirit, and great moments!
Throughout the weekend in Willingen, we were able to use the Shimano Germany booth as our base. It was the perfect place to strike up conversations and share our knowledge about the EP801.
Torben managed to secure a remarkable second place on the podium.
Helen and her gold medal are beaming with joy.
A match made in heaven. Rotwild gold and championship gold.

#2 Loudenvielle
After a sunny start to the week and good training conditions in Loudenvielle, it was clear that a fast race was ahead. Unfortunately, Torben was unable to start due to illness. Kelan fought bravely through despite a cold and a crash and finished in 40th place. Helen impressed with consistently strong times, finishing in the top 10 in all stages and ultimately taking an excellent 6th place.
Torben in his element. Probably the most agile rider for his size. Unfortunately, he couldn't avoid coming down with a cold. That's why he had to skip the race on race day.
Helen flies through the French Pyrenees. The weather was very stable all week. Accordingly, the race was dry and fast.
Finish line hugs. Kelan was very unhappy with his race. He had been struggling physically all week and was unable to perform at his best on the fast and physical courses.
What was the reason? Kelan looks at the finish line with a melancholy expression.
