E-EDR Race Report #2 Bielsko-Biała

The tracks in Bielsko-Biała were a lot of fun and technically challenging. Fortunately, the technical problems that had plagued us in Finale Ligure were resolved. However, Kelan suffered a serious crash during his training run and injured his shoulder. Nevertheless, he faced the race with great determination and fighting spirit. The first half of the race went satisfactorily for Kelan and Torben. Both riders were not quite at their best yet, but worked their way forward bit by bit and were already within striking distance of the top 10.

Unfortunately, Torben suffered a defect on the rear wheel on Stage 5. The repair cost him valuable time and he received a time penalty. Nevertheless, he decided to continue the race to gain more experience. This determination paid off when he put in his best performance to date on Stage 6, finishing in 6th place. Kelan also stepped on the gas again in the second half of the race. Despite his shoulder injury, he battled through and made it to 9th place overall, narrowly missing out on a stage win. A remarkable performance given the circumstances.

However, the race took a dramatic turn when Torben had a bad crash and a concussion was suspected. Fortunately, the check with the doctors gave the all-clear and the team could breathe a little easier. Despite the challenges, the team was able to celebrate Kelan's success, but was aware that there was still more potential. However, there was no time to recover. After a long day of traveling back to Germany, the German E-Enduro Championship was on the agenda. The team is determined to keep working hard and achieve even better results in the upcoming races.
