Bike leasing is attractive for both employees and the self-employed. The market is growing and the offers of the individual bike leasing providers are becoming more and more extensive. In terms of basic services such as contract term, tax savings or purchase at the end of the lease, the providers hardly differ. But there are small but subtle differences.

Each of the major providers has its own special conditions with which it wants to stand out from the competition and win customers. We have taken a closer look at the offers of six leading bike leasing providers and selected different services that can help in the individual search for the right leasing contract.

Job bike

The free Bikeleasing Service app lets you manage leasing contracts, service appointments and damage reports quickly and directly. Premium insurance comes as standard. Lease a Bike

As said, the differences are often very small and subtle. Lease a Bike addresses a very specific point that is interesting for the employee and the employer. Because: A company bike should and may also be used privately. In order to enjoy full insurance coverage as an employee, the bike is inspected and maintained for road safety in accordance with the accident prevention regulations (UVV) at the end of the first and second year of use. With Lease-a-Bike, this UVV maintenance is included in the leasing rate and there are no additional costs for it. The employer also benefits, because the use of the bike for business purposes is also covered.

The basic "Protect" insurance in the comprehensive tariff offers special benefits such as replacement value compensation and theft protection as well as coverage for damage caused by falling, accidents, crashes and transport. Wear and tear on the (e-)bike, including battery, brakes and tires, as well as vandalism and damage by third parties is also covered. And with no deductible, no age restrictions and no minimum requirement for the bike lock. Protect+" also includes residual debt insurance with employer protection and coverage of leasing installments in the event of incapacity to work, termination or death. Service packages cost extra here, i.e. UVV checks, maintenance and inspections. A pick-up service and support for the Komoot navigation system are available on request. In addition, "Mein Dienstrad" also offers "demo days" with a specialist dealer. Employees can get advice on the latest models and test ride them on site.
