Safety Instructions

⚠ Danger
Never attempt to open the drive battery, the charging cable, or other electrical components on your ROTWILD bike. Fire or explosion may occur. If the electrical components do not function as intended, contact your ROTWILD dealer.

⚠ Warning
Operational as well as defective drive batteries are hazardous materials and must be stored accordingly. In case of damage, your ROTWILD dealer can support you with proper disposal.

⚠ Warning
The drive battery in the down tube is only protected against splashing water. Never immerse your bike in water or clean it with a high-pressure washer. Short circuits, malfunctions, or fire may occur. If you suspect that water has entered the battery, stop using your bike and take it to your ROTWILD dealer.

⚠ Warning
Bringing conductive small objects near the charging contacts may cause a short circuit. Keep paper clips, coins, keys, and other small metal items away. Only use the supplied charger to avoid fire or explosion.

⚠ Warning
If the down tube is visibly damaged due to a fall or accident, stop using your ROTWILD bike immediately. The battery may be damaged and could catch fire. Have your bike inspected by your ROTWILD dealer.

⚠ Caution
Improper handling may cause battery fluid leakage. This fluid can cause irritation or burns. Always wear gloves in such cases and consult a doctor if symptoms occur.

Battery Recycling

Disposal
Your ROTWILD dealer ensures proper disposal of bicycles, unopened and undamaged drive batteries, range extenders, and chargers. Disassembling the drive battery or the charging cable is strictly prohibited. Residual voltage may cause fires or injuries. Sharp fragments and internal components can cause cuts or short circuits.

As an end user, you are required to return used drive batteries and charging cables for proper disposal. You may return them to your ROTWILD dealer or deliver them to a public collection point or recycling center.

Electrical and electronic devices must not be disposed of with household waste. They are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, which also applies to batteries.

GRS
ROTWILD participates in the GRS (Gemeinsames Rücknahmesystem Batterien) industry solution, which ensures proper disposal and recycling of drive batteries. Please return the batteries to a GRS collection point.
