Generally you can visit our website without having to provide any personal information. If you register as a customer for a personalised service, to order bikes or goods, subscribe to our newsletter or want to use certain functions of our website personal data will be collected. Entering your personal and company data and clicking with the mouse are deemed to be your expressly granted confirmation of your consent in terms of your registration on You declare your personal consent and the agreement of your company that ADP Engineering GmbH as the operator of the website can process and use your data to perform and execute your orders, purchases of goods and procurement of bikes placed at the online shop, and for subsequent additional specified purposes.  


We primarily use your personal data provided by yourself to improve answering your queries, enabling access to further data and services of this website and processing orders placed at the online shop. In order to satisfy requirements it can be necessary in some circumstances to save and process information entered into compulsory fields. Regarding this, only the minimum amount of data required will be collected, saved, processed and used. Your data will be transmitted to other companies if required for the purposes of processing orders e.g. upon ordering a bike from a distributor selected by you from the portal. These companies may only use your data to process the order and not for any other purposes.


Using certain services on our website, such as the newsletter or the forums, may require prior registration and further processing of your personal data, for example the long term storage of email addresses, login names and passwords. Such data will only be used where you have submitted this data to us and have expressly given your prior consent for it to be used. In the following circumstances we will ask for your consent in separate places.  


In order to register for the ROTWILD newsletter we require at least your email address where you wish the newsletter to be sent. Further information is voluntary and shall only be used on the basis of your consent e.g. in order to be able to speak to you personally and clarify queries to your email address. For things to be posted we require your address. Generally we use the double opt in process for registration. This means that we will first send you a newsletter when you confirm your registration by receiving an email from us to your email address and using the link contained in the email. Registration and confirmation are logged. This should ensure that only you yourself as user of the given email address can subscribe to the newsletter service. You must confirm your subscription shortly after receiving the email from us or your registration and email address will be deleted from our database. Until you have confirmed your subscription our newsletter service will not permit any further registrations to the service with this email address. You may unsubscribe from a subscribed newsletter at any time. In order to do so either send us an email or use the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.  


To register for the ROTWILD Community we require a login name, a password and your email address. For your protection you can only register for this service like subscribing to the newsletter service. You will receive an email from us to your email address given during registration and confirm your registration using the link contained in the email. When necessary for using the forums you also consent to the use of further personal data. You may cancel the named service at any time by sending us an email via the corresponding website of the service. ADP Engineering GmbH has no control over the content on the ROTWILD forum. Nevertheless we reserve the right to delete contributions at our discretion and exclude users from further use, in particular where the contributions constitute grounds for criminal proceedings or cannot be reconciled with the T&Cs of participating in the ROTWILD Community.  


You have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. In addition at any time after granting your consent for your data to be used for advertising, market and opinion research you may object to this in writing with a signature with effect for the future. After a successful objection the data is no longer permitted to be used for these purposes.


Your personal data is transferred over the Internet using SSL encryption. We protect our website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, change and dissemination of your data by unauthorised persons using technical and organisational measures. Your customer account can only be accessed by entering your personal password. You should always keep your access information confidential and close your browser window when you have finished using our services, particularly if other people also use this computer.  


Our website uses cookies, to make our website customer-friendly, effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files and are used by many websites in Germany and worldwide. Cookies are created during your visit by our website and are placed on your hard drive by our server. Most browsers are set up to automatically accept cookies. Google will also if necessary transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not associate your IP address with other data held by Google. 3.2.1 FACEBOOK  

This website uses social plug-ins ("Plug-ins") of the social network, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plug-ins can be recognised by the Facebook logo (a white f on a blue tile or the thumbs up symbol) or can be recognised by the text "Facebook Social Plug-in". The content of the plug-in is directly sent from Facebook to your browser and incorporated into the website. The website operator has no influence over the scope of data collected by Facebook with the help of these plug-ins and therefore informs the user according to their knowledge level. Through the integration of the plug-in Facebook obtains the information that a user has accessed the corresponding web page. If the user is logged into Facebook can associate the visit with your Facebook account. If users interact with the Plug-in, for example by using the Like button or adding a comment the corresponding information from their browser is directly transferred to Facebook and saved there. If the user is not a member of Facebook there is still a chance that Facebook learns and saves their IP address. According to Facebook, in Germany only an anonymised IP address is saved. 3.2.2 +1 GOOGLE+ BUTTONS  

This website uses the "+1" button of the social network Google Plus, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google"). The button can be recognised by "+1" on a white or coloured background. The website operator has no influence over the scope of data collected by Google with this button. According to Google no personal information will be collected without the button being clicked on. 3.2.3 TWITTER

It is possible to share a contribution or a web page of this website on Twitter or to follow the provider on Twitter with the assistance of these buttons. In accordance with the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) to have the right to access your saved personal data free of charge. In the non-public areas of our website you can always view your master data and orders if you have created an account. You have a right of correction if your saved personal data is incorrect. In this case please contact us to inform us of the corrections to your personal data. We shall correct your personal data without delay, subject to a plausibility check. Furthermore you have the right for your saved personal data to be erased. For example, if the data was illegally saved or your personal data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose of the storage/to fulfil the tasks of the responsible (public) authority having jurisdiction. The provider is entitled to collect, process (e.g. to modify, save for further processing, combine with other data sets, and archive) and use personal data, profile data and demographic data for the following purposes provided they have the voluntary, separate consent of the user for "further use of data" which is recorded:  

  • Inclusion in a subscriber directory.
  • Sending information about offers of the provider (e.g. new products, prize draws, online services, sales, promotions etc.).

ROTWILD only uses personal data internally and only passes it on to such companies with those who are engaged in fulfilling the contracts concluded with you. Consent is deemed to be given by ticking the box in the corresponding field. Granted consent is logged, the content of which can be accessed by the user at all times. Users may revoke their consent at any time for the future. In addition the Usage Agreement regarding further use can be terminated; the data will then be erased. Where data was transmitted to cooperation partners with the permission of the user these will be immediately notified and requested to erase the data.
