Team AMG ROTWILD passes form test
Sofia Wiedenroth and Nadine Rieder do have all the reason to smile at the Sunshine Cup on Cyprus. Nadine occupying rank 10 in the general classification and Sofia on rank 27 running for the U23 riders. Both AMG ROTWILD TEAM ladies clearly marked their goals where they want to head during this years WorldCup season. Nadine got closer to the world elite riders and Sofia could get ahead of the actual U23 world champion.
It was important for sprint-specialist Nadine to test her own shape in race mode during the 4 stages, which she worked so hard on during the winter season: “It’s a little bit strange but a very good feeling that I can keep up the pace of the world elite riders” concludes the young woman from Sonthofen.
It was the first time for the German U23 champion Sofia to participate in a multi-day race, which she took as a preparation for her upcoming season. She got better and better into the race mode with every day. The young student felt especially well on the last race day, which was a typical XC format: “I got better each day and found my pace, which made me feel very good. My main goal, within the known XC format, was to concentrate and finish the technical downhills without crashes in order to get the UCI points. Nadine and myself achieved this goal during these four days”.
