Race report Andrea Anjarí SpringRace Loncoche / Chile

On the weekend of October 22/23 chilean TEAM ROTWILD rider Andrea Anjari competed at the DH Spring Race in Loncoche some 760 Km south of Santiago.

On a rainy weekend the 3:30 minutes long track was converted into a real mudfest, which demanded everything from the riders. This has a special meaning since 90% of all races in Chile are held under dry conditions and the riders have only little experience with muddy track conditions.

The track that lead through a beautiful forest counted on easy to mid size jumps of different difficult levels, which converted into real challenges due to the soaked and muddy soil.

At the end Andrea could win the Women Elite category and climp the first place on the podium. After the race Andrea commented: “We have had the same track conditions as last year. Rain and mud! Since I already had my experience with such conditions and I was able to apply my knowledge during the final run, which I finished first as well as the women general ranking. The weekend after the next I am going to fly to Cusco/Peru competing for the Chilean National DH TEAM at the Panamerican Championship. This is the most important race of my career and I am 100% motivated.”
