R.X1 FS (27.5+")
There is one word that describes the R.X1 above all others – multifunctional! According to requirements, possible variations in the new ROTWILD All Mountain bikes include wheels from 27.5 to 27+, the chain stay length and the headset – and all of these require no change in the frame geometry including height of the bottom bracket. The newly developed Multiple Dropout Inlay (MDI III) inserts permit easy adaptation of the chain stay length so that ride characteristics can be changed and adaptations specific to body size can be carried out by individual wheel load distribution for the sizes S/M and L/XL/XXL.
The hydroformed aluminium frame exhibits a high level of manufacturing precisions in wall thicknesses and external contours and manages without a supporting gusset, which reduces weld beads and potential breakage points. Optimized bearings in the R.X1 FS ensure a long service life for the ball bearings on the rear forks. The entire chassis kinematics and the spring element are perfectly tuned to intended application. Particularly in the initial range of the overall travel, the gradient of the load deflection curve exhibits a significantly lower drop, which makes the damper easier to adjust. The linearized load deflection curve of the rear swing system also supports the absorption of small impacts. This significantly improves traction when travelling uphill and riding over obstacles.
The flexible all mountain bike. For use on trans alp, trail or traction the R.X1 is always the correct choice. The multi-functional frame concept allows the use of 29", 27.5" and 27.5+" wheels as well as changing the length of the chain stays and the steering tube angle - all without affecting the frame's geometry or bottom bracket height. This is possible thanks to the multiple dropout inlay (MDI III) inserts which permit easy adjustments to the chain stay length so that adaptations specific to body size can be carried out and individual riding dynamics can be changed. The MSH I headset allows 3 adjustments to the steering tube angles so that the bike can be made more manoeuvrable to orientated towards descents.
